How Namaste Solar Finds Solar-Ready Buildings Using MAIA

September 3, 2026

Namaste Solar and MAIA

“Namaste Solar is a local Colorado solar energy company with over 20 years of experience. We know the market well, so we have to be extremely targeted in our approach. MAIA enables us to identify the best rooftops, research the businesses that own them, and find the right point of contact. It empowers our team to do highly targeted outreach in a way that was never possible before.”

What they knew

Founded in Boulder in 2005, Namaste Solar is an employee-owned installer of more than 200 people, with a commercial team that believed there was an untapped market of commercial and nonprofit solar opportunities across Colorado. They had never invested in an outbound motion because it was difficult to manually source lists for their campaigns. Every campaign was pieced together one building at a time from CoStar exports, Google Maps searches, manual satellite review, and LinkedIn prospecting, an inefficient way to build a list.

What they asked

Which commercial and nonprofit buildings in Boulder, Denver, Adams counties are owner-occupied, solar-ready, and best suited to our available project sizes?

What MAIA did

01Screened every commercial and industrial parcel. Zoning and building footprints pulled every parcel with a building over 15,000 square feet. Usable roof area set an estimated system size, and anything under 150 kW dropped out.

02Scored each roof for solar readiness. Imagery rated obstructions as minimal, typical, or heavy, flagged roofs over 100 feet and likely parking structures, and removed buildings that already had solar. Roof size, obstructions, and height rolled into a 1 to 10 readiness score.

03Resolved the owner and the call. Owner occupancy, nonprofit status, and ESG language on the owner's website sorted each building into a segment. Corporate filings pierced the LLC to the decision maker, with a why-now and a talking point attached to each contact.

What came back

  • 48 nonprofit buildings in Denver County cleared every screen, out of 386 parcels
  • 1,400+ buildings over 15,000 square feet mapped in Boulder County, including 163 education buildings, with views for nonprofits, healthcare, houses of worship, ownership, and ESG
  • A solar-readiness score from 1 to 10 on every roof, feeding a Salesforce-ready lead file that assigns each account to a rep

What they did next

Namaste Solar is running email, phone, and direct-mail campaigns on the list. The team has codified its workflow into a MAIA skill to repeat and reuse across geographies. Its MAIA export is configured to load straight into Salesforce, so the team spends more time on outreach and building relationships and less time on manual research and prospecting.

“MAIA enables us to automate all the research, target the best potential leads, then throw our energy at them.”
